A PURE-PLAY PLATFORM FOR THE PRODUCTION LIFE OF THE OIL BATTERY

Reliable VRU builds and leases weather-hardened compression that keeps low-pressure tank vapors out of the atmosphere and in the sales line — protecting your permit and your product on the same asset.
Serving supermajors & independent operators across the Permian Basin

A pure-play platform for the sales lines productions life.

Reliable VRU is a pure-play energy technology company focused on production optimization, methane abatement, and vapor recovery. We concentrate on the longest, most valuable phase of a well’s life — sustaining production, recovering gas, and cutting emissions from first vapor through late-life operations.

Engineered compression that sustains performance as reservoir pressure declines, so falling flow doesn't mean shut-in production.

Capturing flash, working, and breathing vapors that would otherwise vent or flare, turning an emissions liability into recovered product.

Pulling low-pressure tank vapors into sales, gas lift, or a control device — the specific device that keeps a tank battery inside its permit.

Enclosed white house,
not an open skid.

The Permian throws hard freezes, softball-sized hail, 60–118 mph winds, dust storms, and 100°F-plus heat at your equipment. An open-skid VRU absorbs every one of those insults directly. We keep the failure-prone components inside an insulated, force-ventilated envelope.
The box is white
on purpose
A white, heat-reflective exterior bounces solar load instead of soaking it up, holding a lower skin and internal temperature under the West Texas sun. A cooler box means fewer heat-driven trips, longer life for elastomers and electronics, and safer surfaces for the crews who work inside it — reinforced by orienting the controls to an eastern exposure, away from the intense afternoon sun.
The proof is the field’s own history: the same class of Arctic storm that cut Permian gas production roughly 85% during Winter Storm Uri (2021) did materially less damage during Winter Storm Fern (2026), specifically because operators had winterized and enclosed exposed equipment in between. Weatherization works.

The Whole Game

Why Uptime Is the Whole Game

On a modern tank battery, VRU availability equals both compliance and revenue. Every hour the compressor is down is an hour the site may be venting or flaring out of permit — and losing saleable gas and NGL. Federal OOOOb/OOOOc rules, New Mexico's push toward roughly 98% capture, and Texas RRC/TCEQ authorizations all turn vapor capture from a nice-to-have into a permit condition.

When one compressor goes down, production does not

N+1 is a capacity standard, not an equipment count. A site isn’t redundant just because it has two or more machines — it’s redundant only when the remaining units can carry the full defined load at the actual suction and discharge conditions, and only when the redundancy extends past the compressor to shared transformers, PLCs, scrubbers, coolers, and valves.

PRODUCTION UPTIME

Proven Vilter compression, engineered for modern production

At the center of the fleet is the Vilter single-screw compressor and its exclusive Parallex Slide System — an industrial platform with more than 150 years of engineering heritage, built for continuous-duty service. Two independent slides adjust gas flow (roughly 10% to 100% of rated capacity) and internal volume ratio (roughly 1.2 to 7.0) separately, so a single package responds as tank pressure, well performance, and ambient conditions change — instead of forcing a new machine for every phase of a well’s life.

Safer floors. Sharper coverage.

Rhino-Coated Floors

A textured, sealed surface that holds traction when oil, water, mud, frost, or compressor fluids contaminate it; a nonmetallic barrier over exposed conductive steel; spill containment that makes leaks easy to see. It's an added layer of practical protection — not a substitute for grounding, classified components, lockout/tagout, PPE, or good housekeeping, and not a certified electrically insulated floor.

Field Service

Dedicated coverage on your compliance-critical, high-density core, route coverage on the dispersed tail, with a defined relief and after-hours plan either way. For VRUs keeping a battery in permit, faster response pays for itself in avoided emissions events and recovered product.

Compressor Leasing

The first six months carry the greatest uncertainty and the heaviest combined cash burden: mobilization, site work, installation, commissioning, and ramp-up. A 50% introductory rate lines the rental cost up with the value the compressors create, preserving cash while you commission, measure, and validate the fleet in your own field conditions. Fine print: It’s a firm 36-month lease; the discount applies to the monthly rental rate, and mobilization and commissioning are billed separately.

Your Energy Questions Solved

Got questions? We’ve compiled key information to help you understand our work better.

What counts as "N+1" redundancy in a VRU package, and how do you verify it?
N+1 means the remaining compression can carry the full defined load at actual suction and discharge conditions if the largest unit goes down — with no temporary equipment, emergency modifications, or production curtailment. That test applies to the whole system, not just the compressors: shared transformers, PLCs, scrubbers, coolers, and valves all have to be able to isolate and carry the load too. We size and specify every package against that standard, not just a unit count.
What compliance requirements does Reliable VRU help us meet?
Federal OOOOb/OOOOc methane rules, New Mexico's push toward roughly 98% capture, and Texas RRC/TCEQ authorizations all treat vapor capture as a permit condition, not a nice-to-have. Our compression is engineered and sited to keep your tank battery inside its permit — that's the design brief, not an afterthought.
How does the 50% introductory leasing rate work?
It's a firm 36-month lease. The discount applies to the monthly rental rate for the first six months — the period with the heaviest combined cash burden from mobilization, site work, installation, commissioning, and ramp-up. Mobilization and commissioning are billed separately from the rental rate.
What's included in mobilization and commissioning?
Mobilization and commissioning are billed separately from the monthly lease rate. Tell us your suction and discharge conditions, gas volume, and site, and we'll put together a full quote covering equipment, mobilization, and commissioning.
How fast is field service response?
Coverage differs by site profile: dedicated coverage on your compliance-critical, high-density core, and route coverage on the dispersed tail — with a defined relief and after-hours plan either way. For a VRU keeping a battery in permit, faster response pays for itself in avoided emissions events and recovered product.
How is a VRU package sized for our site?
Send us your suction and discharge conditions, gas volume, and site details, and we'll size compression that stays in permit and stays online — that's the starting point for every quote.
How is the equipment protected from extreme Permian weather?
The failure-prone components live inside an insulated, force-ventilated, white heat-reflective enclosure — not an open skid. That white exterior bounces solar load instead of absorbing it, which means fewer heat-driven trips and longer life for elastomers and electronics. Controls are oriented to eastern exposure, away from peak afternoon sun.
Do you serve areas outside the Permian Basin?
Yes — while the Permian is our primary focus, we serve major oil and gas producing regions more broadly. Tell us your location and we'll confirm coverage.
